Articles on Marriage Matters:

Be Thankful For A Faithful Husband

If your husband is faithful, you have much to be thankful for. Faithful husbands are in short supply. While 3 out of 4 wives assume their husbands are faithful, only 1 wife in 4 can truthfully make that claim. According to statistics, 3 out of 4 men cheat on their wives. 2/3 of those wives (approximately 26 million women) have no idea their husbands are having an affair - despite the presence of numerous telltale signs.

A Rude Awakening

Every year countless women who thought they had faithful husbands, are shocked when their husbands ask for a divorce or simply move in with another woman. Others are dumbfounded to discover from empty bank accounts that family funds were used to finance an extramarital affair. Still others are astonished to learn that they’ve contracted a sexually transmitted disease.

Why the Wife is the Last to Know

Why is it that the wife is always the last to know? Could all these women be in denial? How could a wife not know her husband is having an affair? If a wife has no reason to suspect her husband it’s easy to miss or misinterpret the warning signs. Especially if she’s unfamiliar with the 21 categories of telltale signs.

Reasons to be Thankful

Not every married man is a cheating husband, though the overwhelming majority of them are. Nevertheless, there are still many faithful husbands around. If you’re married to one, you have a lot to be thankful for.

•You can be thankful that your marriage and family are intact.
•You can be thankful you don’t have to agonize over the decision of whether to leave your husband or stay with him and try to get your marriage back on track.
•You can be thankful the years you’ve invested in your marriage have not been in vain.
•You can be thankful that you don’t have to deal with the devastation and the emotional trauma that infidelity brings.

Make Sure You’re Not An Unsuspecting Wife

Given the rising rate of infidelity, you owe it to yourself and your marriage to make sure you’re not one of those 26 million unsuspecting wives. But how can you be sure your husband isn’t having an affair? By familiarizing yourself with the early warning signs. For details on the 21 categories of telltale signs visit www.IsHeCheatingOnYou.com

Your Marriage May Depend on It

The future of your marriage may one day depend on your ability to spot the warning signs of infidelity. There are numerous things you can do to save your marriage if you spot the telltale signs in time. But if your marriage turns out to be unsalvageable, you can still take steps to protect yourself legally, financially and sexually. You can also prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the devastation that lies ahead. At least you won’t be taken by surprise. But the first step to solving a problem is knowing the problem exists. If a wife has no idea her husband is cheating, by the time she finds out, it may be too late.

So if your husband is faithful, be thankful. Faithful husbands are few and far between. If you’re not sure, be thankful you happened upon this article. Make it your business to find out where you stand before it’s too late. You’ll be thankful you did.

Packing For Your Destination Wedding

Are you planning a destination wedding? Congratulations! Before you head off to your dream wedding and honeymoon, don't forget the packing for the wedding itself. Much will depend on where you're having your wedding and your own personal style.

If you're getting married in a formal wedding dress, be sure to carry it with you - don't trust your dress to checked luggage. Most airplanes have coat closets and will allow travelers to hang garment bags. Check with your airline.

Grooms should also carry the clothing needed for the ceremony. If you're getting married in the Caribbean, you won't find many tuxedo rental shops in the islands. It is easiest to bring clothes with you. We recently saw a panicked groom in the Bahamas wearing a tuxedo shirt, coat, cummerbund -- and a pair of jeans. The stressed-out groom was racing for the lobby door to meet a clothier who had located a pair of tuxedo pants after the groom's were lost in his luggage. Don't let this happen to you!

Also, carry all original documents--including birth certificates and divorce papers, if applicable--in your hand luggage. Don't pack these in checked luggage!

Many resorts have on-site beauty salons, so you can make sure your hair is perfect for your wedding day. (If you plan to do your own hair, be sure to check first on the electrical current and plugs at your destination. You may need to bring converters for hot rollers and other appliances.) Many resorts also have on-site spas which can pamper the two of you with a massage to work out the kinks from your flight.

For the wedding, you'll want to pack some of these items, depending on your plans:

wedding dress
special hosiery or undergarments
shoes (if you're planning a tropical wedding, remember that high temperatures and humidity, coupled with a long flight, can make feet puffy)
guest book
wedding rings
groom's tux or suit
groom's shoes
address book
thank you cards if you'd like to write them on the way home
special decorations, wedding music

Unique Weddings for Unique People

Themed wedding are a great alternative to the more traditional wedding. They are perfect for couples who find most weddings to be stuffy and boring. A themed wedding can be as casual and light hearted as you want. Chances are, you guests will not soon forget your wedding.

When planning a themed wedding, consider what you and your partner have in common. Is there anything that either one of you are particularly passionate about? Often times, you are able to work your passion into the theme of the wedding.

There are many great ideas out there for a themed wedding. A Roaring Twenties wedding can be a fun and exciting time. You could incorporate swing music into the wedding. The wedding dress could be based on the 1920's era.

Maybe the 1920's are less to your liking, then maybe consider a 1960's wedding. Guests will love the peace signs, psychedelic colors and flowers strewn about.

If the couple are sports fans, then perhaps a sports themed wedding is in order. The groomsmen could dress in their favorite sports uniforms, while the bridesmaids can dress as cheerleaders. You could also incorporate the wedding theme into the party favors. For instance, you could give out baseballs or hockey pucks.

Another idea for a themed wedding is a Fairyland wedding. The bride could easily add wings to her dress, while the guests dress in various mythical creatures.

Hawaiian themed weddings are a fun way to go. Both the bridal party and wedding guests can dress in Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and fresh leis. For decorations, you could have a few surfboards strategically placed. Tropical drinks served in coconuts would be a huge hit with your guests.

Perhaps a pirate themed wedding is more to your liking. You could decorate the reception hall to resemble a deck of a ship or an old saloon. You could add hooks for hands, peg legs and eye patches to your attire. Wedding gifts could easily be stored in a treasure chest.

With a Stars Wars Wedding, Princess Leia could marry Han Solo. The best man could dress up as Chewbacca, while the couple is married by Darth Vader.

If you are a Star Trek fan, you could have your wedding on the bridge of the Enterprise . The best man could be dressed as Mr. Spock, while one of the groomsmen dresses as Chekhov, Scotty and Sulu. You could have your wedding reception resemble an interplanetary meeting of Romulans, Klingons, Vulcans and Andorians.

Perhaps Lord of the Rings is more your style. You could dress up as Arwen and Aragorn and get married. You could have the wizard Gandalf perform the ceremony, while children play the part of little hobbits.

When it comes to a themed wedding, the possibilities are endless. Your imagination is your only limitation. So if you are a fun spirited person, go with it and have a fun themed wedding.
